AVL Powertrain Engineering in Sweden is now looking to recruit a new Calibration Engineer to support our Automotive OEM customers in engine and vehicle level calibration for a diverse range of heavy-duty applications, including vehicles, construction equipment, non-road & marine applications, in the Gothenburg area.

* You will work in the development of complex and focus on the development, calibration and validation of Performance, Emissions or OBD functions
* You will be based mainly onsite at the customer premises, working in their projects
You should have experience from Calibration of heavy-duty engines. We think that you have a BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical/Automotive engineering or equivalent. You are a strong communicator with great networking skills, you are solution focused, eager to learn new skills and driven by self-development.
* 5 plus years of experience in calibration, development or testing of heavy-duty diesel engines
* Calibration of engine control units (ECU) in development and serial projects at customer setting for Performance, Emissions or OBD
* Understanding new regulations and implementing requirements of a project from concept through serial production
* Planning, execution and evaluation of stationary and dynamic calibration in engine test benches
* Optimization and testing under various ambient conditions both in facility and in territory
* Analysis of results, preparation of reports and presentation with recommendations for customer
* Experience in project planning, co-ordination, and delivery
* Supporting homologation and production start
* Good working knowledge of calibration tools (e.g. ATI VISION, INCA)
* Knowledge of AVL tools - Cameo, Creta and Concerto
* Very good social and communication skills in English (Swedish is meritorious)
* Working knowledge of Matlab, Simulink or Python
* Driver’s license B (E and/or C meritorious)
* Willingness to travel
