The Engineering Graduate program
The Engineering Graduate Program at Volvo Group Trucks Technology is a global 12-month program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use your technical and creative engineering skills while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business challenges.
Besides your manager, who will guide and support you in your daily job, you will have a supportive network of peer graduates, colleagues across the globe and senior leaders to help you excel. We hope you will learn as much from us as we will from you.
How you will make an impact
As part of the Vehicle Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in supporting components and system owners to install new components and systems in our trucks. Our work involves using CAD software like Creo View, as well as physically working with master trucks and Virtual Reality tools.
In this collaborative role, you will engage with various stakeholders to identify effective solutions. Key stakeholders typically include Operations, After Market, and various feature areas such as load capacity, handling, and agility. Your focus will be to develop generic solutions that seamlessly integrate into our platform.
Who are you?
We are looking for the next generation engineers who want to make a real difference to society. You are passionate about what you do, have a curious mind and are willing to learn. Just like us, you thrive on teamwork.
You have experience working with CAD software, such as Creo or CATIA. It is meritorious if you have a background in mechanical engineering, experience in the automotive industry, or if you have engaged in projects involving VR, AI, or related technologies. Hobbies like gaming, which align with our use of VR, are also highly valued.
To qualify for the Engineering Graduate program, you must have completed a master’s degree in data science, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Automation, Electrical engineering, Industrial Economy, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Design Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems or similar prior to the start of the program but not more than 18 months ago. You should not have more than two years' full-time working experience prior to starting. You also need to be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
