High Performance Platform – Let’s introduce ourselves!
Volvo Cars have an ambition to expand its in-house software development. At the department of Core System Software, we are part of this ambition. Our teams are building the next generation high-performance in-vehicle compute cluster, designed to host different vehicle applications, stretching from basic vehicle state machines to advance active safety and unsupervised autonomous drive functionalities. This compute cluster will be launched in our coming generation of pure electric and self-driving Volvo models. Our task is to create a safe, reliable, and secure software that serve as a platform for our stakeholders and partners to deploy and innovate their applications on.
Our multi-core architecture includes high-performance (HP) systems on a chip (SoC), providing a framework for current and future services. We are now looking for a Lead System Engineer with a genuine problem-solving attitude to strengthen our software development organization.
What you will do
You will be one of the team players in a cross functional team where you will contribute with your system and requirement engineering competence. In your daily work you will seek interaction with other system engineers, software developers and architects to define our system design. A significant amount of effort during a work week will be spent on defining and refining system requirements. You will gather stakeholder requirements and develop well-designed and testable system requirements, as well as collaborating with software developers and test case developers to secure that the intended design is understood and quality assured. You will establish and coordinate the requirement structure as well as working to secure fulfillment of standards, practices and guidelines.
What you will bring
We believe that you are a senior requirement engineer with a background within Software development. You are self-driven, structured, a proactive team player with high ambitions and approach complex challenges with a positive attitude. You have excellent knowledge or experience in following areas:
Requirement specification, analysis, validation
System design and systemization within a Software organization
Embedded software
Software development processes
Strong communication skills in spoken and written English
And it’s a bonus if you have experience in:
System Weaver (or similar)
Functional safety standard, ISO-26262 (or other safety standards)
