During 15 intense and exciting months, our Operations Graduate Program will give you a holistic view of our operational and logistic activities, including both the local and global perspective. You will be working with the technologies of tomorrow, building the products of the future – electric, connected and automated. In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions.
You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several local and international on the job-rotations and work on business-critical projects developing your competencies for tomorrow. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. In addition, you will gather with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

This is us, your new team:
You will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering team within Operations. Our main tasks are maintaining high competence and identify opportunities with the technology of the future. We support the current production flow with problem solving and develop the production flow of tomorrow. Working in local and global networks to drive, learn more and share our knowledge is essential to our success.
Main activities and responsibilities:
As an Application & Automation Developer your main tasks will be to improve our production processes connected to our digital and automation journey. Develop applications and automation solutions that are closely linked to production. You will work in various projects, with the entire production within Braås as your customer. Our offer to you is a varied work with a lot of personal responsibility and good development opportunities.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be to work in a close collaboration with Manufacturing Engineers, Maintenance, IT, and the production teams to support with new innovative solutions. You will also be a member in our Factory4Tomorrow team and be a part of our global Volvo network, to drive development and share and learn new experiences together with colleagues from all over the world.
Who are you?
To join the Operations Graduate Program as an Application & Automation Developer, you should have a Bachelor of Science with focus on either Software Development or Automation and have a maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation. To be successful in your role we see that you have good communication, team and networking skills. You have an interest in and capability to develop and implement smart manufacturing solutions. As a person you are analytical and always have the bigger picture in mind.
Required knowledge/experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (or equivalent experience) with focus on software development or automation
• Fully proficient in English (written and spoken) and basic Swedish
• Maximum two years of previous full-time working experience, prior to or after graduation. Work during studies is not included
