Randstad Digital is looking for a Java Backend Developer for an assignment with a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, aiming to meet the global demand for premium electric vehicles. This role is part of an exciting, innovative sector that is shaping the future of mobility.

Responsibilities

• Participate as part of a dynamic DevOps team, working in two-week sprints and ten-week program increments
• Develop backend Java solutions to support the needs of the electric vehicle manufacturing sector
• Contribute to an Agile working environment, ensuring that tasks are completed within the designated timeframe
• Support test-driven development and maintain high-quality coding standards
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the scalability and efficiency of systems
• Engage in problem-solving and optimization for backend services, focusing on connectivity and microservices architecture

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in backend Java development, particularly with technologies like Spring Boot, JMS, RelDb (or similar), and AWS (Serverless, Node.js)
• Strong proficiency in Unix and Linux environments
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of scalability and load testing
• Understanding of microservices architecture and design
• Experience with UDP, Binary SMS, and satellite communications
• Proficiency in ASN.1
• Experience in the automotive industry, especially in connectivity

Additional expertise in connected applications, CI/CD, CDK, Code Pipelines, Docker, serverless development, load testing, and application profiling is a bonus.
