About the role:

The role requires one to work on all product stages from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning. T

he goal is to design and fabricate mechanical components of innovation and excellence. You are required to design and develop new devices while also improving existing ones. It will also be a task to analyze the mechanical aspects of products and come up with solutions that will meet industry standards while still being cost-effective enough to be produced at scale without affecting their price point too drastically.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating detailed plans and translating conceptual ideas into practical designs and collaborate with other specialists
• Use computer-aided design software (CAD) along with performing stimulations and analyses to evaluate factors
• Responsible for performance evaluation, testing & prototyping and data interpretation
• Expertise in Project management including project scoping, resource management and coordination
• Proficiency in manufacturing & production processes including development, collaboration with manufacturing teams and ability to solve problems
• Prominence of quality assurance standards
• System maintenance, diagnosis and preventive maintenance
• Constant eye on the research & development to stay on top of the game

Education & Experience:

• BSc or a higher degree in Engineering
• Proven working experience in mechanical engineering
• Working experience with product lifecycle management (PLM)
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAE) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM)
• Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., TeamCenter, Solidworks)
• Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar)
• Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView etc)
• Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
• Analytical, technical writing and creative skills, interest to learn GPS and assembly testing
• Robust design DFTP, DFS, DFM
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
