Job description:
Embark on an exhilarating journey as a skipper with Hey Fjords! As the captain of our RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) tours, you'll take guests on thrilling, high-speed adventures through the breathtaking Norwegian fjords, with Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) as a key highlight. Not only will you navigate these scenic routes, but you'll also ensure that each guest enjoys the raw beauty of Norway's majestic landscapes in complete safety and comfort. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys sharing local stories, and loves creating memorable experiences.
Your day will involve skippering the boat, maintaining top-tier equipment, handling bookings, and engaging with customers from all over the world. Every trip is an opportunity to promote Norwegian nature and maritime heritage, providing top-notch service while embracing the adventure that each day brings. From May to October, you'll lead exciting tours that showcase Stavanger's stunning coastal geography. Plus, you'll be a vital part of our growth, promoting our services and ensuring smooth operations.
Skills requirements:
. Relevant maritime certificates (VHF course, D5L Certificate)
. Fluent in Norwegian or English
. Experience in customer service and/or travel industry
. Previous experience as a skipper or tour guide preferred
Other information:
The company will provide accommodation support the first two weeks to make the transition smooth. All neccacary information will be given through proper training.
