About the position
We are now looking for a Buyer for our customer, a major player in the automotive industry. You will be part of a semiconductor purchasing team consisting of a global network of semiconductor manufacturers' account managers, business analysts and component engineers. They focus on building strong relationships with semiconductor suppliers to ensure robust design solutions, supply chain transparency, and always being at the forefront of technological innovations. The position is located in Gothenburg.
Your daily tasks
As a purchaser in this role, you will lead and support cross-functional business projects for incoming components to the customer's strategic electronic controllers. You are responsible for managing relationships with semiconductor manufacturers through partnerships, negotiations, and new collaboration models. Your tasks include preparation and execution of negotiations, supplier selection, and contract management. You develop and implement supplier strategies, and work closely with the engineering department to ensure that the purchasing strategy is in line with technological developments. A strong focus is on increasing value through cost-effectiveness, quality and sustainability.
