Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Governance Manager to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that defines data management practices within the organization.
• Define and establish data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, access, and compliance with regulations such as GDPR.
• Monitor compliance with the data governance framework and manage non-compliance issues to ensure proper data usage.
• Coordinate with information owners to guarantee that the right data is available and used effectively within the organization.
• Collaborate with operations to gather information needs and define data standards, including concepts, attributes, and values.
• Analyze data to identify errors, deficiencies, or inconsistencies using tools and techniques for quality assessment.
• Develop processes for data validation and control, establishing automated rules and manual checks for accuracy.
• Maintain a data catalog that documents various data sources and their uses, managing associated metadata for clarity and accessibility.
• Create and implement educational programs to raise awareness about data governance and data quality within the organization.

What you bring:

• In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks and principles, with experience implementing such frameworks in organizations.
• Proven ability to establish data standards and work with information models and concepts.
• Experience in designing and implementing data management policies and guidelines.
• Technical expertise in database management, data architecture, and knowledge of data quality tools (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, Talend).
• Understanding of metadata management and proficiency in maintaining data catalogs throughout the data lifecycle.
• Basic knowledge of data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for effective data reporting and analysis.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead data governance initiatives and coordinate resources effectively.
• Experience in change management, driving the introduction of new guidelines and processes for data management.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to articulate the value of data governance to stakeholders and engage the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying areas for improvement and addressing data-related challenges.
• Industry knowledge of the real estate sector, with an understanding of its specific needs, processes, and standards to optimize data governance.
• Previous experience in roles such as Data Quality Manager, Data Governance Manager, Data Manager, Information Owner, or Data Architect.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
