Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior CAE Engineer Safety ESS/Batteries to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Build CAE models for battery packs and modules, focusing on crash simulation and result analysis.
- Play a key role in the development and refinement of evaluation methods and modeling techniques for batteries.
- Initiate and oversee physical testing, analyze test results, and validate simulation methods.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and detailed reports on methods and analyses.
- Collaborate with a global team to advance safety solutions for energy storage systems in both passenger and commercial vehicles.
What you bring:
- A Master of Science degree in engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Over 3 years of experience in FE crash simulation within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in using FE software, particularly LS-Dyna.
- Strong knowledge of pre- and post-processing tools like Ansa and Meta.
- Programming skills, particularly in Python, are a plus.
- Experience in crash simulation method development and early-phase concept work is highly valued.
- Practical experience with lithium-ion battery crash simulations in an industrial setting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of developing crash requirements is a plus.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
