Business Security Officer (BSO) is a new Nordic level 1st Line of the Defence role within our organisation, located in Solna, Sweden at Vattenfall head office. You will be located in the Strategy & Business Support function within the Nordic Sales organization, Customers & Solutions (C&S) Nordic.

The responsibility of the BSO will be steering and managing security work within our newly set security organization together with line managers, security coordinators, data protection coordinators, system and information owners in our four operating units handling both B2C and B2B customers. You will have strong Customers & Solutions Nordic management team’s support to drive the business-driven security development initiatives and the implementation activities of the group’s Security Management System’s standards & requirements within our operations. To accelerate this, you will have corresponding organisational security structures to support your activities and success. We work aligned with applicable IEC/ISO standards.


As a BSO you will have the responsibility to:

  • Govern the corporate security work within C&S Nordic business unit with the emphasis for cyber and information security
  • Manage and develop our security operating model, supporting processes and guidelines to meet the business requirements, evolving regulations and to be aligned with the existing Vattenfall Security Management System (SMS)
  • Work closely with set security organisation and the business to manage and drive the implementation of security processes, guidelines and controls into our Nordic operations
  • Work closely with the C&S Global Security and Personal Data Protection organisation to assure the alignment with the set security objectives, standards and baselines
  • Collaborate with 2nd Line of Defence operators, such as Nordic Business Information Security Officer (BISO), the Business Area Security Officer (BASO) and the group Data Protection Officer (DPO)


Qualifications

To be successful in the BSO role, we are expecting you to have experience in:

  • Security manager or similar role, including holistic security point of view from cyber and information security, physical security, personnel security, business continuity and data privacy
  • Working closely with the management team and business
  • ISO/IEC 27001 standard, its implementation and running and developing an ISO based Information and/or security management system
  • Supervising and advising people and/or security organisation with the strong “can-do” attitude
  • Managing 3rd parties risks such as external vendors and service providers related to security
  • Having business driven mindset simultaneously when assuring and understanding compliance management related topics
  • Reporting holistic security situational awareness to management team level
  • Running the security program and change management accordingly

We are looking for a person who is a doer and independent. You will have a big network in this position and that is why we value good collaboration skills. For this position you need to have communication skills in both Swedish and English.
