Job description

Are you committed about creating a safer and more organized work environment? As the Head of EHS at Nefab, you will lead the development and implementation of the company’s , Health & Safety initiatives on a global scale. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing cutting-edge EHS systems and processes across all Nefab sites, driving continuous improvements, and fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

The Head of EHS is a group-level position and will report to the Group Executive Vice President of Operations. Responsibilities

  • Devise and lead the implementation of EHS strategies that align with the organization’s long-term goals.
  • Establish governance systems to monitor Health &Safety regulatory compliance across all Nefab sites.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the EHS culture.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and support to the management team on EHS policy and standards.
  • Raise awareness by conducting training sessions, workshops, and sharing best practices to reduce health and safety risks.
  • Set EHS goals and objectives for Nefab’s manufacturing plants and collaborate closely with regional leaders to review and monitor performance.
  • Lead emergency management planning to ensure business continuity and minimize legal and regulatory breaches.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify key EHS risks and implement necessary actions.
  • Plan and implement the roll-out of OHSAS 18001 and/or ISO 45001 certification across Nefab sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in the manufacturing industry as a production or plant manager, or in a similar role.
  • Experience in multinational and multi-site manufacturing organizations.
  • Experience leading the EHS function at a regional or corporate level.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience with the implementation of ISO 45001.

It will be an advantage if you have knowledge and experience in quality and/or environmental management systems such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. Experience working with Lean methodologies and an audit background in any of these areas will also be considered a merit. Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a plus.
