We are the organization responsible for defining and developing the next generation of HMI (Human Machine Interface) that will be in Volvo Group’s transport solutions. We are talking about instrument cluster, infotainment, driver user experience, camera-based systems and much more. We belong to the Driver Interaction & Infotainment organization, part of Vehicle Technology within Global Trucks Technology. We are now looking for an HMI Engineer to join our organization Driver Interaction & Infotainment. As an HMI Engineer you will be part of developing concepts and make sure that we can realize conceptual ideas. You will be the bridge between Usability experts, UX designers and our logical design, the code. You will be working with stakeholders, function developers, HMI developers and testers to refine and define requirements for our digital platforms.   Key Responsibilities * Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, UX designers and developers in defining a good user-centered experience across our digital touchpoints. * Create wireframes, prototypes and detailed interaction design that communicates the intended user experience. * Ensuring text localization. * Implement and verify concepts using our development pipeline; Figma, Qt, C++, python, git etc. Qualifications * Automotive experience, preferably truck knowledge and user centered applications * Proficiency in tools like Sketch, Figma and Adobe XD. Experience with tools or plugins that manage design tokens is a plus. * Knowledge and strong interest in various coding languages connected to graphical interfaces like Qt, unity, unreal also basic knowledge in C++ and python is advantage. * Knowledge in version control systems like Git is a merit. * Knowledge of Automotive communication protocols and communication technologies, such as CAN, Ethernet is an advantage. * Excellent communication skills, with a humble and team player attitude.
