We are looking for anElectrical Automation Engineer - Prototyping and Safety for a consulting assignment with one of our clients. This role involves working with both electrical installations and safety systems in an innovative project environment. The ideal candidate will be a versatile engineer who enjoys both hands-on tasks and designing technical solutions in a dynamic lab setting.

Electrical Installation and Infrastructure

• Manage electrical installations and infrastructure, including work on electrical cabinets.
• Install prototype rigs and create Eplan drawings for various projects.
• Build, integrate, and install prototypes.
• Perform practical tasks such as cable cutting, soldering, conducting quality checks, and debugging.

Automation and Safety Systems

• Configure, program, and design safety systems.
• Ensure that all installations and systems comply with the Machinery Directive.
• Handle safety components and perform calculations of performance level/SIL.

• Solid experience in programming safety equipment.
• Strong knowledge of the Machinery Directive and safety components.
• Experience in calculating performance level/SIL.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience and appropriate educational background.

Meritorious:

• Certification in functional/machinery safety.

You should be self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working hands-on in a lab environment as well as engaging in technical design and programming. A team-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in prototype development are essential for this role.
