We are looking for a dedicated Director of Quality to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future.
The role is part of our excellent team based in Skellefteå.
By joining us, you will be a key player in building one of the first large-scale European battery factories.
Responsible for defining, producing, and implementing management systems to achieve compliance with Quality, Company level and Regulatory standards (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO4500) as well as customer expectations across the Northvolt, in every phase of manufacturing.
Role will manage the Quality teams in a systematic way and ensure deliverance of Quality targets including capital projects, Quality Control operations within Materials Manufacturing and Leadership of detailing Business Unit Quality requirements in terms of detailing out execution needs.
Key Responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
- Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of Quality
- Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risks and adherence to the QMS
- Assure conformity to Quality regulatory standards of the Manufacturing processes and take ownership of identifying and closing gaps
- Build and coach a world class Quality team when applies
- Develop and execute Quality plans in the workplace according to legal and other guidelines
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
- Inspect process, equipment and machinery to observe possible nonconformity conditions
- Work continuously with Problem solving mindset to Investigate nonconformity to discover root causes
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
- Quality Leadership support for wider Materials and NV Teams
- Sets, develops and leads Quality strategy, objectives and targets.
- Identify and suggest improvements to our methods, processes, resources and standards as well as process and project quality control on a continuous basis.
- Set up a Quality audit and inspection plan based on risk assessments, to identify root causes and solutions.
- Manage and follow up on the improvement of production and waste in all Materials production units.
Qualifications/education/experience
- Fluent in English
- + 10 years on Quality Management roles
- Bachelor or Master degree of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience from similar industries like Automative, Battery value chain
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts, SPC and capability analysis.
- Experience in Six Sigma methodology and leadership
- Very valuable (but not required) to have experience from battery manufacturing.
- Good to have project management experience

Full time employment, fixed salary.
