We are now looking for an experienced person to join the Supply Chain Management team in HVDC as a Category Manager.
As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and driving the category strategy in your area of assigned categories.
You will be responsible to manage stakeholder relations and to build strong international contacts both internally within HVDC and with our suppliers.
Your stakeholders include both domestic and international interfaces.
For example, you will cooperate with a team of Buyers and Category Specialists which are located in Estonia, India, and Sweden.
For this role, it is essential that you are unpretentious, since the job requires that you do everything from strategies work to material follow-up to working with your material in our ERP system (SAP).
To be successful in this role, you should always bring a “hands-on”- and customer-oriented mindset to work.

Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Category Strategies on short and long terms that align with the HVDC Business Strategies and leverage the Continuous Improvement Process (CIPS) for assigned categories.
- Actively take part of the daily operational work with suppliers and other functions within HVDC.
- Develop our Supplier base within your Categories with focus on total cost, quality, lead time and capacity to support our factories around the world.
- Work together with supply chain functions to drive and ensure that the goods and material are procured, produced, and delivered on budget, on time and with quality to our production and project sites worldwide.
- Play a key role interacting with stakeholders in tender, production and project execution, i.e.
Engineering, R&D, service, tender management, project management, general management levels at HVDC and the global SCM organization.
- Ensure that our suppliers comply with the laws, regulations, standards, certificates, and directives that Hitachi Energy requires of its suppliers.
Your Background

You have an academic degree in a relevant field:
Supply Chain Management, Business & Administration, or Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
- Work experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/Category Management is required, experience in ERP systems (SAP) is an advantage.
- Interest in technical components and systems.
- You are a team player with strong communicative and collaborative skills who likes to interact with other people.
- You have good organizational skills, can handle several tasks in parallel, and manage problems that may occur with an energetic and self-confident approach.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of Swedish or any other language is considered an additional asset.

Additional Information
The placement for this role is Ludvika or Västerås, Sweden, with possibilities of some remote work.
Business travel both within Sweden and abroad will be required for this role.
