We are looking for a dedicated Area Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future.
The role is part of our excellent team based in Skellefteå.
By joining us, you will be a key player in building one of the first large-scale European battery factories.
You will be a vital member of the Revolt Ett team.
Plan, direct, and monitor all production activities within the process area to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules, safety, quality, deliveries and efficiency, cost, people.
You must have close co-operation with your colleagues with a mutual goal to ramp up and maximize our production efficiency.
You must train and mentor your staff and you also need to have foresight and prepare for future expansion.
Ensure that standards are followed, and employees are trained.
Follow up shift performance and continuously look for improvement.
Act on deviations and work with support functions to fix problems.
Key Responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
- Accountable for environment, health and safety as per local legislation, policies etc.
Physical area of responsibility according to H&S layout
- Develop and implement strategy, tactics and policy deployment for the process block area based on the Revolt strategy.
- Develop and/or implement process procedures and allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity and yield.
- Analyze production and malfunction records to identify problems and recommend solutions (for example changes to procedures, workflow, or equipment) that will improve performance.
- Liaise with functional or operational shift managers (for example in planning, logistics, maintenance, technology, quality) and together understand current and future needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities.
- Together with maintenance plan, prioritize, and manage production maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules.
- Lead, coach, train, direct, evaluate, and develop shift managers and shifts in their work at a specific area.
- Identify training needs personally and for the team to feed into the overall development plan.
- Has full managerial responsibility for multiple shift teams.
Work is normally carried out in an indirect manner (as 'grandparent') and by setting organizational targets.
- Be part of developing new methods, tools and processes.
Responsible for implementation in own area and sharing of best practices.
- Ensure adherence to Northvolt Code of Conduct, applicable legislation and established policies and guidelines within area of responsibility.
- Drive improvements in standards in all aspects of team’s activities and outputs
- Ensure all customer and internal Quality requirements are met at all times.
- Accountability for the control of materials issued to all production areas accounting for raw materials and scrap, in the required timeframe.
Initiate full investigation into any variances and communication of outcomes through root causing tools.
- Accountability for maintaining and continuously improving LEAN standards.
- Identifies and resolves complex technical, operational and/or organizational problems.
- Ensure that work is performed in accordance with the management system routines and standards.
- Ensure high quality of department reporting and KPIs.
- In close collaboration with the rest of the team, participate in the installation and start-up of machine equipment, process-, and PLC systems.
Qualifications/education/experience
- High school / college degree or other relevant education.

Experience in the modern Operations Management principles:
Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma,
- Documented leadership training
- Good knowledge of English.
Swedish is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in leadership/supervisory position in process or manufacturing industry.
- Proven strong leadership and Managerial capabilities.
- Ability to organize, manage time and good communication skills.
- Experience in planning and effective working in a dynamic and complex production environment.

A competent Microsoft Office software:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint user and other packages used by Northvolt Revolt (ERP, Recipe Management);
- Good knowledge from work with productivity, quality, and safety as well as the ability to make others understand and act accordingly.
- Good communication skills since you will work closely with many different teams.
- High work ethic and good problem-solving ability.
Full time employment, fixed salary.
