We are looking for a dedicated Senior Process Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is part of our excellent team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in building one of the first large-scale European battery factories.

Job Scope:

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues and implement improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and systems to optimize productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate process improvements and identify areas for cost savings.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process issues, implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and production staff, to ensure project success.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to production teams to ensure effective execution of processes.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
  • Analyze data to monitor process performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and pre-commissioning activities of equipment and subsystems.
  • Review engineering and HSE documents to ensure commissioning and startup requirements are incorporated into the design.
  • Approve and assist in executing equipment commissioning, qualification, and validation documentation, including FAT, SAT, and SOPs.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering (BSc, MSc, or similar).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related experience in chemical & hydrometallurgical, petrochemical, or petroleum production/refining facilities or mineral processing.

Specific Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with process design, implementation, and optimization.
  • Experience in fast-growing environments, ideally in metal recycling, mineral, or hydrometallurgy processing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight schedules and production goals.
  • Experience with risk assessments, gap assessments, and change controls.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and execute multiple projects under tight timelines.

Full-time employment, fixed salary.
