Senior Test and Development Engineer to lead Exterior Lighting Team
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test and Development Engineer to manage and develop innovative exterior lighting systems for heavy vehicles. The ideal candidate will bring over 10+ years of experience in automotive product development, with a deep understanding of lighting design, functionality, and environmental performance standards. This role involves leading critical projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation from concept to production.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, testing, and development of front and rear exterior lighting systems. Define and verify performance standards for exterior lighting components, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Manage global lighting projects from concept through to implementation, focusing on product quality and functionality.
Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure successful product launches.
Drive validation and verification procedures for lighting systems, optimizing for durability and environmental performance.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in lighting technology and automotive standards to drive innovation.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in automotive product development, with an emphasis on exterior lighting systems.
Proven track record in leading global automotive projects, including design, development, and testing of lighting systems.
Solid experience with lighting performance standards, environmental standards, and verification procedures.
Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams.
Proficiency in CATIA V5 or other relevant CAD software.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus.
A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
English only is sufficient language skill for this assignment.
