Are you passionate about optimizing supply chain processes and driving efficiency? Hitachi Energy is looking for a dedicated Supply Chain Expert to join our team in Ludvika. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain, from operational purchasing to warehouse management and sales & operations planning.

In this role, you will report to the Planning & Fulfillment manager, and you will work closely together with the Purchasing, Planning and Warehousing teams. You will maintain strong links to the European Hub and play an important role in the factory expansion project. Don’t hesitate to apply – even if you don’t meet every single requirement. Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and report rolling and long-term forecasts for raw materials and components.
  • Define and revise stocking strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels, including calculating safety stock levels and optimal order quantities.
  • Analyse and verify planning and purchasing relevant parameters, suggest improvements, and challenge production and suppliers on production times, lead times, incoterms, and lot sizes.
  • Analyse and optimize material flows, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and develop key performance metrics and Power BI reports for monitoring progress and identifying issues early on.
  • Determine warehouse area requirements, develop necessary internal and external warehouse capacity, and define storage locations in new factory areas to right-size stock levels for future volume.
  • Drive improvements in S&OP maturity by implementing financial and integrations, targeted KPIs, and improved reporting.
  • Measure and report on planning and fulfillment performance metrics.

Your Background

  • A master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Some years of work experience in manufacturing environments is a pre.
  • Highly skilled in data analysis and visualization using a variety of programs including Excel and Power BI.
  • Experienced working with ERP systems, SAP experience is a pre.
  • Proactive and flexible person who has ability to take action to solve issues and work independently when needed.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, working proficiency in Swedish is a pre.
