Job description

Randstad is currently seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to support Siemens Energy's development projects. As a Mechanical Integrity Engineer, you will play a critical role in understanding and assessing the lifing behavior of gas turbine components. You’ll engage in alloy development, material modeling, and methodology development, while also providing essential support to workshops, procurement, and service teams.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to R&D projects and fault reports by providing technical expertise on mechanical integrity aspects.
  • Conduct stress and lifing assessments using finite element analysis and other numerical models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and input for accurate risk assessment and calculations.


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in material modeling and FEM analysis for lifing calculations, with a strong understanding of relevant principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as ABAQUS, HyperMesh, NX, EVAL, and FRANC3D.
  • Good knowledge of turbine component functions and their interactions within the gas turbine.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
