We are currently looking for a Senior Functional Product Owner for our Customs Service Delivery Management team.
Customs Service Delivery includes roles that provide services to customers once they are onboarded in the Maersk environment. Maersk customs services offers a range of services direct to customers, primarily the Maersk Customs Hub, where we are seeking an experienced individual to assist in structuring our best-in-class global customs offering.
The main tasks of the role can be considered as:
- Working with product development to create a standard delivery for the product offering
- Designing new ways of working to deliver world class customer service
- Working with the GSC to identify areas for atomisation and centralization
- Structuring the product offering both organisationally and technically to deliver the desired outcomes
The team
The Customs Standards FPO team consist of a diverse group of individuals, located in multiple geographies dedicated to standardizing as much of the customs process’ as possible. From gathering data, to making internal and external connectivity, using OCR technology and AI, the world of customs is an ever-changing environment where all the team needs to be open to change and willing to find creative solutions to complex problems.
The role
Service delivery to our direct sale customers is one of our main routes to market, and we are looking for an experienced professional who can take us to the next level. Our new service offering, the Maersk Customs Hub, is an innovative, industry leading service offering. We are looking for a self-driven individual who understands how to ensure customers’ needs are translated into a deliverable service offering, from a control tower to a trade reporting application. All our customer needs are now defined into a suite of deliverable products. Working with the delivery teams to clearly define and document how we can deliver these products, is how we can make these offerings truly global.
As our customers’ needs are constantly evolving, the role also requires an open mind to implement customer solutions whilst feeding new requirements to our customs platform colleagues, with efficiency and customer quality in focus.
Who you are.
Most important is your personality and desire to drive and evolve customer facing needs into a deliverable solution. Our delivery teams are experts in the field of customs, but the need for standardization is imperative for our products to truly scale. You have experience in either process engineering, implementation, or continuous improvement, directly working with operations. Project management skills will also be a great asset, and being used to taking ownership, building relationships, and communicating with stakeholders on different levels. Having an owner's mentality is vital for this role with an outstanding ability to coach, spearhead and encourage others. Based in Europe, you have experience in working in a complex matrix environment whilst still being able to deliver the desired results.
