About us:

Stegra, formerly known as H2 Green Steel, is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. Together, we are building an impact company with sustainability at its core – for our people, customers, investors, society, and planet.Cost Control SpecialistOur Finance Team is looking for a Cost Control Specialist to join our Business Controlling team at Stegra. In this role, you will report to the Head of Business Control and play a key part in ensuring efficient cost management and reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our cost control processes in a dynamic and growing organization.

As a Cost Control Specialist, you will help streamline account usage, ensure there is a clear cost center structure, and monitor statistical accounts. You will also investigate any outlier costs, review related agreements, and assist in preparing the budget.Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control costs at our Stockholm headquarters, ensuring accurate usage of accounts and streamlining cost reporting both actual and forecast.
  • Establish and maintain a well-structured cost center structure within the functions.
  • Investigate and analyze any significant deviations in costs, verifying contracts, internal guidelines and agreements.
  • Prepare and support the budget and forecast process, providing input on cost forecasts and expenditure.
  • Conductcost analysis, with a focus on indirect costs and SG&A.
  • Collaborate with the Business Controlling and AP team to develop and refine cost control strategies.
  • Build reports and presentations in tools like Excel and Power BI.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in cost control, financial controlling, or a related role is meriting.
  • Experience from working with SG&A and indirect costs analysis.
  • Strong interest in working with Excel and Power BI; building reports and utilizing Power BI is highly desirable and an important part of the role.
  • Detail-oriented with an interest in cost analysis and financial performance.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to investigate and solve problems independently.
  • Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
