THE POSITION

As the manager of the Programming department, you’ll be responsible for the Programming discipline at Tenstar. Your tasks will include:

  • Identifying, recruiting, coaching and developing our staff
  • Conducting personal development talks and setting up action plans
  • Developing new, and improving existing, processes and methods within your field of expertise
  • Optimizing the allocation of resources between projects


THE CANDIDATE

We think that you’re an experienced, mature leader of other subject matter professionals within your area, who also has experience in managing stakeholders and working with people in other areas of expertise. The ideal candidate will be humble, willing to listen and eager to learn new things. We’d expect you to be the kind of person who strives to deliver excellent results while also contributing to an enjoyable working environment.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Several years of experience working in Simulation or Games software
  • Wide range of skills in the programming field; even if you’re an expert in gameplay programming, graphics programming, sound programming or tools programming, you’re also familiar with the other specializations
  • Professional working knowledge with C++ and object orientation, as well as scripting languages such as Lua
  • Experience with managing staff; you’ve previously worked as a manager or at least as a Lead Programmer
  • Experience with defining and communicating processes and methodologies
  • Excellent working knowledge of English
  • Permitted to work in Sweden (we don’t offer visa sponsorship)
  • Familiar with the Unreal Engine
