About the role

Current Group Business Control Team consists of two (2) full-time employees: Group Head of Business Control and a Group Business Controller.

The Group Business Control function is structured to ensure each controller oversees specific regions, meeting regularly to discuss overall group performance. These meetings are crucial for benchmarking, identifying areas for improvement, sharing successes, and ensuring all key stakeholders understand current performance and trends. This collaborative approach helps implement group processes that increase efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

As a Group Business Controller, you will be responsible for driving the business control processes in the Dutch region, which accounts for a significant portion of Assessio Group's revenue. This position requires you to travel to Amsterdam at least once per quarter and participate in monthly meetings with the Dutch management team. Your role will involve supporting two subsidiaries (brands) —Assessio Netherlands and Assessio Bloom —supporting the region's extensive SaaS journey, designing and developing processes in line with SaaS best practices.

You will in addition to this, act as a business partner to the Managing Director of the Dutch region, you will support, align with, challenge, and ensure that the correct strides are taken towards increased performance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Accountable for implementing and managing group-wide business control processes for the Dutch region.
  • Orchestrating, monitoring, and distributing KPIs that align with our strategic imperatives.
  • Supporting Assessio's pivot towards a data-centric operational model.
  • Acting as a strategic liaison to key stakeholders and team members.
  • Refining and automating processes to boost organizational effectiveness.
  • Shaping budgetary and forecasting frameworks.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends in SaaS, BI, and controlling to integrate cutting-edge practices.
  • Crafting incisive analyses for C-suite consumption and broader organizational guidance.
  • Undertaking ad-hoc analyses to facilitate informed strategic decision-making.
  • Performing performance reviews, compiling KPI performance decks, supporting management with presentations, training, dashboards, and insights reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Controller or in a similar role, preferably in the SaaS or tech industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial data analysis, budgeting, and performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with the SaaS business model, including its unique financial and operational challenges.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, and financial modeling.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required. Proficiency in Dutch and/or Swedish is a valuable addition.
