Your role and responsibilities

You will be part of the Ports business line within the Marine and Ports division. We offer an international and dynamic working environment where our business delivers advanced technology for large projects worldwide in a customer-oriented and highly globalized industry. Our sales team in Västerås consists of individuals from multiple nationalities and age groups, working in a global market. The orders we manage range from individual quay cranes to large, automated terminals with a high number of cranes. The role offers a great variety, allowing you to provide prompt customer solutions while also establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with our clients.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Account Manager to join our skilled team. As an Account Manager for our system solutions, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with our key clients, and exploring solutions to the customer’s challenges. You will drive the sales projects with focus on the technical solution, delivery time and cost and overall solution for ABB’s electrical system offering for cranes.. You will work closely with our hardware engineers, software developers and project in-charges to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and close deals.

Your responsibilities

• Meet, develop, and maintain relationships with key clients.

• Identify new business opportunities and develop proposals to meet client needs.

• Build strong and long-term relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Tender cost calculation, handle scope and deviations from customer specifications, and full responsibility from start to finish.

• Be responsible for the project with focus on the delivery time and budget.

• Always represent and act in accordance with ABB´s values.

Qualifications for the role

• To thrive in this role, we believe that you have a technical education combined with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• You possess strong personal drive and are persistent in working towards common targets.
• Experience in commercial business deals.
• Excellent communication and people skills are key for success in this role.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• As we are a global company, you are fluent in Swedish and English. Other language skills are a merit.
• Willingness to travel.
