About the position

To support the SSAB Special Steel global sales, Specialty Tubes and Cold Formed Sections business area is looking for an INSIDE SALES SPECIALIST. Working in team specialized for niche products combines the benefits of small business and global companies and it will give you a lot of freedom to develop your way of working and requires a strong initiative.

Business environment is multinational, and your daily work spans many national borders and enables cross-functional collaboration with the SSAB Special Steels local sales teams in all continents with the main market area being Europe. You will get to know an advanced customer portfolio that will involve a lot of contacts with internal and external stockholders worldwide.

Main responsibilities

  • Support for SSAB Special Steels customers and local sales organizations worldwide in Specialty Tubes and Cold Formed Sections by receiving and registering orders and answering order inquiries.
  • To actively look for ways to fulfill customer needs and promote sales of Specialty Tubes and Cold Formed Sections.
  • Transport arrangements for shipments together with internal and external logistic partners, with all modes of transport i.e. road, sea and air.
  • Have daily contact with stocks and mills to provide customers and local sales organization information about their order status.
  • Managing data in internal systems including registration and tracking of orders, registration of new customers, claims and credits.
  • Stock control, including handling of stock replenishments.


About You

  • Customer service mindset.
  • Motivation and will to grow in the role.
  • High stress tolerance and good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently without need of being managed in detail.
  • Willingness to do pioneering work with a start-up attitude in niche business area within a global company.
  • Good computer skills including experience in using the MS office suite. Knowledge of SSAB's systems such as Metocs, strip SAP, global SAP, DIWA, Jeeves and M-Files is a significant advantage.
  • Very good English skills, Finnish language skills is a significant advantage, since main part of production and the central sales stock is located in Finland. Other language skills is considered an merit.
  • Previous experience with tubular products or cold formed sections is not mandatory, but is considered an advantage.
