We add value by providing stable, efficient and innovative IT services in the core banking system areas such as Deposits, Payments, Customer data and Loans, serving virtually all other business areas of the bank. As an Application Provider you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing Nordea’s fundamental banking applications. You will be responsible for a portfolio of applications constituting the foundation of the bank. In your role, you will make sure Nordeas core applications are stable, compliant, well-functioning and robustly architectured over time. You will work with defining and implementing Application Lifecycle Roadmaps. What you’ll be doing: * Take overall ownership of the applications in Nordeas production environment * Overlook the activities in the Change, Incident and Problem Processes * Approve, or if needed, stop, changes to the applications in the production environment * Conduct compliance reviews, and if needed implement corrective measures * Cooperate with Application Owners, Development Execution Leadership and People Capabilities to create an optimal environment for the applications evolution, including access to sufficient application competence over time * Take responsibility for the financials of the applications, managing Operations and Maintenance costs. * Follow up on agreed service levels with all parties working with the application. As an Application Provider, you will focus on the applications health in a short and long term perspective, making sure Nordea has access to applications with world class functionality, scalability, maintainability and performance, now and in the future. To achieve this, you will be cooperating with many parts of Nordea, inside and outside Local Systems. Vendor Management will be a crucial activity, as many of the operational services of the applications are purchased from external vendors. The Local Systems application portfolio is mainly built on the IBM z/OS (“Mainframe”) technical platform. To be successful, we believe you are well acquainted with this platform. This role is based in SE/Stockholm. This is a permanent, full-time, position. We follow hybrid model of working. These are the values that guide us in being at our best – and that we imagine you share with us.  To succeed in this role, we believe that you: * Have worked at least five years with banking applications * Have a good ability to understand large and complex system landscapes * Are good at grasping rules and regulations, and realizing their practical consequences * Are well acquainted with IT Operations work * Can do financial analysis at a basic level * Can act independently, and identify the actions you need to take. * Have a positive attitude and cooperate easily with those you have contact with in your daily work * Have the capability to work with English speaking colleagues from all over the world. Your experience and background * You have at least five years of experience from software maintenance and development in the financial sector * You are skilled in and enjoy analysing IT solutions * Several years of experience from working with mainframe systems * Experience from ITIL and IPC Process work * Acquaintance with Nordeas systems, products and processes will be a big advantage What we offer You'll join a team of highly skilled IT professionals, with a huge collective experience of banking systems.
