About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Technology Development you will drive Product Development for our organization. You will lead the Product Development leadership team to set and execute on the strategic direction of the department. In this role, you'll oversee 6 direct reports and manage several sub-departments comprising a total of 80 individuals. You will continuously find ways to learn and improve our products and practices.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop technology strategy and together with product management make sure the architecture and strategy enable the product vision.
  • Constantly grow and develop the organization with competence and capability, always ensuring the possibility for people to develop their skills, experiences, and careers.
  • Mentor and coach individual engineers, managers and teams as well as removing obstacles in their way to deliver at scale and speed.
  • Together with Product Development leadership team align methods and tools for Software development across disciplines in your area, and secure quality in delivery by implementing modern software development and engineering practices.
  • Drive improvements to shorten development lead time through process optimization while maintaining high-quality engineering work.
  • Encourage and enable cross-functional cooperation throughout the development life cycle.
  • Nurture a culture of openness, trust, freedom, responsibility, quality, and pride in what we do and how we act.

What You Need to Be Successful

To be successful in the role, you have a solid engineering background with extensive mechanical/software/mechatronic product development experience. As a person, you are energetic, outgoing, engaging, and an inspiring source to your team.

  • Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, automation or mechatronics
  • Experience in working in product logistics technology
  • Change management experience
  • Team management experience
  • Experience working in an international environment
