What you’ll do You will contribute to successful use of traffic scenarios in various test environments, from Software-In-the-Loop simulation to real-world test tracks. Enjoying software development, you will be involved developing, refactorizing and maintaining simulation tools, like the open source traffic simulator esmini. Striving for harmonization of tools for AD/ADAS verification, you will also be involved in the development and interpretation of ASAM standards like OpenDRIVE, OpenSCENARIO and OSI. Your collaborative skills will be useful in supporting various teams utilizing the full potential of the standards and tools. What you’ll bring You will fit well in this role if you are a software developer with an understanding of software verification at various levels (SIL, HIL, VIL and Test Track). We believe you are an individual who is motivated by challenging tasks in a complex and innovative environment. You enjoy learning from others, as well as sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. You are both a problem solver and doer. Mandatory Requirements * M.Sc in Software Engineering or equivalent experience through years of practice * Excellent skills in C++ * Strong skill in Git, Python, cmake * Good skills in Bash, Linux * Understanding balancing values like feature growth and quality * Fluent in English and can communicate effectively with all types of stakeholders Meritorious * AD/ADAS testing * Conventional 3D Graphics (OpenSceneGraph, OpenGL) * Modern 3D graphics (Unreal, Unity, Vulcan...) * OpenSCENARIO, OpenDRIVE and/or OSI * C# * Threading This position is based at Volvo Cars’ international HQ in Gothenburg.
