Job Description

H&M Studios create fashion content for H&M’s full assortment globally, such as model images, product images and video assets. Our mission is to elevate the full assortment, enabling H&M to become a credible fashion brand. As an Art Director at H&M Studios, your role is crucial in creating and directing the visual content for H&M.com globally, specifically the lookbook. You will be responsible for ensuring that the visual expression of H&M is consistent with our brand tone of voice, and you will work closely with the Creative team to drive and develop our visual identity forward. One of your primary responsibilities is to work in close collaboration with the Lookbook Stylists to ensure that the visual content produced is elevated and executed to the highest standard. This involves managing casting, hair and make-up briefs and execution, final image edits, cropping and layout, retouching, image order, and more.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for managing external teams and ensuring that the H&M brand is represented correctly on set.
  • Create and direct visual content that is relevant, engaging, and impactful for our customers.
  • Maintain the visual identity of our brand.
  • Create content that resonates with our target audience.

Qualifications

We are currently searching for an exceptional art director to join our team at H&M. The successful candidate will bring a range of qualifications and experience to the role, including a strong background in art direction with a proven track record of creating visually compelling and cohesive brand identities. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the fashion industry, including trends, styles, and relevant brands. They will be highly skilled in branding mechanisms and know how to execute them effectively to ensure that H&M's products are presented in a way that resonates with the target customer.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong commercial understanding of the fashion industry and be up to date with the latest media, art, and culture trends. They will be creative, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication and collaboration skills. What you need to succeed:

  • Extensive experience as an art director (or equivalent) for a comparable fashion brand.
  • High level of understanding of branding mechanisms and how to secure a visual outcome accordingly.
  • Advanced understanding of the world of fashion.
