Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team.

What You Will Work On:

• Lead the development and design of AI systems, focusing on deep learning models.
• Select appropriate algorithms and model architectures for various projects.
• Develop strategies for model training, production adaptation, and management.
• Independently conduct code development, model training, and exploratory data analysis.
• Perform investigative work related to data science and deep learning.
• Develop Python-based solutions in a Linux environment.
• Use Jupyter Notebooks for early testing and exploratory analysis.
• Engage in structured Python programming using Visual Studio Code.
• Build Azure pipelines and manage packages with Hatch.
• Ensure code quality through unit tests, linting, type checking, and adherence to PEP8 standards.
• Utilize frameworks such as Pytorch and Openmmlab for deep learning and computer vision projects.
• Develop models for applications such as YOLOv8 object identification.
• Operate within the Swedish Transport Administration’s internal container platform (OpenShift) with object storage in ECS S3.
• Work in agile teams of 3-6 members using Azure DevOps, participating in daily stand-ups and three-week sprints.

What You Bring:

• At least 8 years of documented experience in Python development.
• A minimum of 5 years of documented experience in developing deep learning AI models.
• At least 3 years of documented experience in computer vision.
• At least 3 years of documented experience working in a Linux environment.
• Proficiency in Swedish.
• Strong experience in developing structured, object-oriented Python code (e.g., classes, data classes, unit tests, PEP8 compliance).
• Experience working with MLops is a significant advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in agile teams and adhere to project timelines and sprint schedules.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex tasks.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
