About the role: In the role of RF Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing RF systems and components to meet project requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate RF subsystems into larger systems, conduct testing and validation, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a strong background in RF design, hands-on experience with RF test equipment, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic engineering environment.

Who are you?You possess expertise as an RF Engineer with a proven track record in designing and developing RF systems and circuits. You thrive in collaborative environments yet excel when working independently. Adaptable by nature, you effortlessly navigate unfamiliar territories, quickly becoming proficient in new areas.

• Design and develop RF systems and circuits, including transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, filters, and antennas.
• Build, test, and perform hands-on assembly, soldering, and wiring of RF prototypes and breadboards to validate design concepts.
• Demonstrate proficiency with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators for measurement and analysis.
• Develop test plans and procedures for RF performance evaluation.
• Troubleshoot and debug RF circuits and systems to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Conduct system-level testing and validation to verify RF performance.

Background:

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience in electrical engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field and/or MSc or PhD
• Experience with RF simulation and design tools such as CST Studio Suite, ANSYS HFSS, Keysight Genesys, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with RF prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with RF programming languages such as Matlab, Python, C/C++, Labview, or similar.
• Experience with PCB design for RF applications, including transmission line routing, impedance matching, and high-frequency grounding techniques.
• Familiarity with RF safety guidelines and regulatory compliance standards for RF systems and devices.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with RF system-level design and analysis, including link budget calculations and RF link analysis.
• Relevant certifications in RF engineering or related areas
