Supplier Quality Engineer – Pressure equipment A Snapshot of Your Day As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), you will be part of a growing function in a position that entails a large responsibility! You will represent Supply Chain Quality in multi-functional meetings and strongly collaboration with Procurement, Project Management, Manufacturing & Logistics, Project Engineering and Project Quality Management with a shared target to secure qualified deliveries from qualified suppliers. We work in a multi-cultural environment with contacts with different departments locally and globally.   How You’ll Make an Impact * Drive and continuously improve Supply Quality related important metrics. * Ensure and improve the supplier quality in the assigned area of dedicated business (products, projects, and services). Implement SQD (Supplier Quality Development) requirements such as preventive actions, technical specifications, and qualification of suppliers. Acts as SQD contact in cross-functional teams. * Responsible for supplier qualification, product / process qualification & technical supplier development to provide a global, demand covering, quality assured and efficient supply base for the components within certain commodities. * Supports to maintain and improve the Siemens Energy Project Supplier Quality Management System, implements and tracks measures and activities to ensure the requested quality of the supplied components and services. * Supervise supplier Key Performance Indicators and adjust quality, inspection, and development planning activities accordingly.   What You Bring  * Bachelor in mechanical, industrial engineering, or a similar subject area. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. * Technical experience with industrial process technology and /or auxiliary systems in energy generation plants (enclosures, steel structures, piping, pressure vessels, skids, etc.) * In-depth knowledge in welding (International Welding Engineer IWE or International Welding Technologist IWT Diploma (International Welding Specialist IWS Diploma with knowledge and experience could be considered). * Experience with PED 2014/68/EU and good knowledge associated European Directives. * Experience with harmonized standard EN 13480:2017 series (Metallic Industrial Piping), standard EN 13445:2021 series (Unfired Pressure Vessels), standards of Non-Destructive Testing ISO 9712:2022 and ISO 17635:2017 (personal qualification and certifications are meritoriously) as well as harmonized standards of pressure retaining and load bearing materials. * Knowledge and experience regarding harmonized standard ISO 3834-2:2021 and ISO 14731:2019 (Quality Management of Welding and allied processes). * Proven experience in quality management, engineering, or manufacturing and/or installation processes for pressure equipment’s. * Profound knowledge in the application of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA. * Open minded, results & solution oriented and good analytical thinking. Advanced Communication/Presentation skills, basic Commercial Knowledge. * Willingness to travel, nationally and internationally   About the Team In this role, you will be working with a team of around 10 colleagues in Sweden and one colleague in Romania.
