To succeed in this role, you should have broad knowledge and understanding of:

  • IKEA business, it's market and industry
  • The business, the project, and the impact it has on other business initiatives
  • Project and change management methods and tools
  • How to take a strategy from development to deployment
  • Very good knowledge of all areas connected to Business Navigation and wider Finance activities
  • Strong ability to recognize trends and translate them into business opportunities or identified risks
  • Previous experience in business performance management and financial management
  • Proven analytical skills combined with an ability to communicate figures in an understandable and inspiring way.

Your responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to lead and drive multiple and complex projects within one or several areas. In this job, you plan and organize the assignment, manage dependencies, and develop and execute processes. You manage time, cost, scope, risk, communication, people consequences, quality, and change. You support different development initiatives in the Business Steering function and enable your own and cross-functional team members to reach functional goals. You ensure customer satisfaction by being the link between customers, function, and IKEA.

Your key responsibilities will be as below:

  • Manage large, complex, and transformational projects, which span across several processes and dimensions, using relevant methods and tools, including lean and agile principles, to deliver project commitments and results in line with the IKEA vision and values
  • Contribute with input in defining project scope, objectives, and plan, involving all relevant stakeholders across Ingka
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the project team to successful delivery of the project and milestones, including the required result within the given time and budget frames
  • Ensure full adoption of the project output, by using excellent change management skills, to achieve desired value for our customers, people, planet, and company
  • Follow up and report on project progress, manage project changes and risks to ensure the best business outcome, as well as manage escalations if relevant to ensure delivery
  • Contribute with input to relevant decision-making forums, prepare relevant facts and material to facilitate decision-making making, and take responsibility for the implementation of process/project updates
  • Align with other business functions/projects/initiatives as relevant and get into details of the project as and when needed
  • Co-operate and coach the project team to accomplish common goals and negotiate, influence and resolve conflicts as needed to deliver according to the plan
  • Establish trusting relationships that are maintained over time and make sure the business owners are satisfied
  • Seek continuous opportunities for improvement, challenge the business to do better business, and demonstrate willingness and contribution to change, by taking necessary actions and adapt to new circumstances

In this role, you belong to Group Business Steering and will report to Business Steering Business Development Manager. Your location of work will be Malmö, Hubhult office.

Steer and secure profitable long-term growth in the omnichannel context, by enabling better business decisions, securing effectiveness and efficiency and leading in accordance with financial and business strategies.
