What you will do Plan, order, prepare and analyse development and verification tests on high-voltage propulsion battery system. The work is done in close collaboration with the system designer, component owners and the test operators in the test rigs. The rigs can be either at Volvo’s internal battery lab or at external suppliers. Specifically, the job will involve testing on cell/module level, such as generate and verify data for CAE simulations, aging testing but also mechanical verification. The team are also involved in advanced engineering projects. Some travelling to external test sites for support and fault tracing will occur. You and your skills You are a team player with strong communications skills and a genuine interest in technology. You can work independently and take required actions on own initiative. You are a fast learner with an analytical and solution-based mindset. Your technical competence, as well as your ability to manage complexity in systems and collaboration with different teams should be strong so that you can make your own decisions and technical conclusions. Requirements:  •    M.Sc degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or similar •    Knowledge in Li-ion technology or relevant area  •    At least two years experience from an Automotive OEM or similar development area •    Good knowledge of standards and test methods within automotive industry •    Enjoy working practically and have the ability to translate the results into theory Nice to have knowledge in: •    Hybrid- and/or electric propulsion development •    Test development and equipment •    Controls systems The possibilities to develop within this role and within the department are large.
