Job scope

High level purpose of function.

Lead and ensure the fulfillment of quality activities across several Quality teams for product launch, improvements, or infrastructure projects in his scope or area. Drive solutions for critical items. Participate in cross-functional project teams. Driving simultaneously different projects in the assigned area in order to meet customer’s requirements. Lead the implementation of Quality mindset in launches.

Key responsibilities

Overall areas of responsibility and activities.

· Leading and coordinating quality related topics during launch in the assigned area.

· Participating in production and project meetings.

· Interface and support to customer quality and production quality teams during and after launch.

· Defining and supporting process qualification and sampling activities before serial production release.

· PFMEA and creation of Control Plan.

· Defining the process for MSA is validated on time or providing alternative control methods for securing production.

· Participate in PPAP.

· Ensuring the integration of the serial manufacturing quality team and the transfer of knowledge for the readiness of Quality department for serial production.

· Driving lessons learned activities for serial production from new projects in the assigned area.

· Problem solving.

· Reacting efficiently to changes from customer and product needs.

· Providing Quality deliverables on time.

· Providing training to the Quality organization or other departments in the scope of the launch.

· Ensure transfer of Quality lessons learned between projects.

· Support during internal and external Audits during the launch.

Requirements

Educational background and previous experience required for the role.

Qualifications and experience

· BSc/MSc degree in mechanical/chemical engineering or similar.

· Education or professional experience in quality discipline.

· Knowledge about quality tools: APQP, PPAP, SPC, process capability, MSA, 8D.

· Relevant work experience in serial production environments.

· Work experience in launches in automotive sector.

· Work experience in project engineering.

· Knowledge about product qualification process and process release in the automotive industry.
