Facilitate and support the production and logistics functions of the supply chain team.
Interact closely with other teams such as planning, operations, accounting, and merchandising, as well as nominated suppliers around the world.
You will report directly to a Supply Chain Manager
The Supply Chain Coordinator's core responsibility:
- Work to achieve goals such as on time delivery, shipment booking and tracking, Receiving and ATP reporting, warehouse shipping requirements, customs and duty accuracy, and supply chain data management
- Sourcing activities when needed to support internal stakeholders
- Operative and tactical responsibility for transportation set up and governance
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound traffic, maximizing cost-effectiveness and tracking all consignments
- Negotiate rates with carriers ensuring that you secure the best possible rates inline with the company’s buying policy
- The preparation of management reports as well as analyzing statistical data is also a very important part of this role
What You'll Do ?
- Work with finished goods and fabric vendors to request, book, and confirm shipments using our nominated freight forwarders.
- Communicate with nominated suppliers on a daily basis to ensure the most accurate and up to date information has been obtained as it relates to purchase orders, deliveries, and shipments.
- Review and report ETD's / ETA's on a weekly basis, relating all appropriate information to internal teams and documents as needed.
- Reconcile ASN's, vendor invoices, original purchase orders and physical deliveries to ensure accurate inputs and data matching throughout.
Assist and support with special projects throughout the year as needed on the Sourcing and Supply Chain teams.
Who You Are?
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
Manufacturing industry preferred but not required.
Proficient in Excel.
Knowledge of V-lookup and ability to create pivot tables is a must.
The ability to create files, maintain data in the files, create formulas, and work quickly in the program is required.
- Experience with logistics coordination and booking freight.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) as well as a very strong attention to detail.
- Problem solver and solutions seeker, driven by results and uses data as a tool.
- Ability to work and thrive in a cross functional team environment.
- Optimistic mindset and ability to stay positive when communicating difficult news or decisions.
- Desire to work in a startup environment that is constantly changing and frequently ambiguous.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
