We hope that you will help us to build the sustainable companies and societies of the future.The division Computer Science at the department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering conducts research in software systems, distributed systems and databases, mobile networks, digital service innovation and IoT-based communication. We are now looking for a research engineer who will work within a multi-disciplinary research group that conducts research around IoT architectures, blockchain, cloud/edge computing, and wireless access networks. The position belongs to the research subject Pervasive and Mobile Computing. Subject description Pervasive and mobile computing address distributed systems and mobile networks which enable mobility, ubiquity, security and interactivity of computers, data, software and users. Project description You will work on projects focusing on IoT platforms, data gathering/analytics, and AI/ML, targeting the operations of big fleets of buildings for improved awareness and energy-saving measures. The position involves work with our industrial partners and the public sector. Duties The main task of the research engineer in this position consists of working with data collection, data analytical methods, and visualization of results. Qualifications We are looking for a skilled, analytical, and motivated colleague to work on our research projects in collaboration with the rest of the research team. To be eligible, you must have a master's degree in computer science or a related field with a focus on data analytics. You should be proficient in software development and applied computer science.
