In alignment with the growing targets and needs, we are currently on the lookout for a Senior QA Engineer, to become part of our team in Gothenburg. In this team, we continuously seek new ways of working that decrease complexity and provide the tools for team members to do their best work. Currently, we are working globally within the QA guild and in this role we foresee a lot of interaction with both other teams in Gothenburg, as well as Athens, Pune and Montevideo, our other development sites. You will be a part of the software life cycle, from start to finish working shift left and right with the activities that are best suited depending on the context.


About the Role

In your role as a Senior QA Engineer in the development team, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, assess risk and priority and design best suitable test activities.
  • Developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts Using Playwright and Javascript.
  • Conducting thorough regression testing to identify and address software defects and ensure overall system stability.
  • Collaborating with developers to understand system architecture and design effective testing strategies.
  • Working closely with product managers, developers, and other QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Analyzing business needs, implementation documentation, and design specifications for validity, testability, and feasibility.
  • Developing and maintaining existing automation frameworks.
  • Setting up, monitoring the environment, and keeping track of the release pipeline, handling failed automated tests, and either fixing them or escalating them.
  • Contributing new ideas within the QA chapter/guild together with other testers.
  • Helping with process improvement to increase work efficiency and quality delivered.
  • Acting as a domain expert that holds together the customer journey throughout the whole system.
  • Using tools such as Playwright, Postman, Selenium, Kibana, Jira.


Requirements

  • +5 years of proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role.
  • Experience with exploratory testing, manual and/or partly automated.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright or similar.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Professional command of English.
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript.
