Do you want to work in an exciting business segment and take part in the global green energy transition?

Recap Energy is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager, Sourcing and Supply Channels - China. In this role, you will be working alongside our procurement team and supporting other parts of the organization with establishing our supplier base for BESS and related products in China.

As our Senior Business Development Manager, Sourcing and Supply Channels - China, you will be looking at Recap’s pipeline of projects in order to find suppliers from which to source the products relevant in the implementation of those projects.


Main responsibilities

  • Work closely with Project and Product Managers to understand the organization’s requirements.
  • Develop documentation to request quotations for products identified in your work with our cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct continuous market research and competitive analysis to identify procurement opportunities, product differentiation and market expansion.
  • Identify potential suppliers of the products and negotiate favorable terms for Recap. Work closely with procurement teams to source quality equipment at competitive prices, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.
  • Assist CEO and relevant managers to select potential strategic partnerships amongst the suppliers identified and approached.
  • The the lead in negotiating partnership and distribution agreements with select suppliers.


Candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
  • Long experience in the renewable energy or energy storage sectors in China, with high level connections in relevant Chinese companies and industry associations.
  • Proven track record in business development in the aforementioned sectors.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Management skills, ability to lead, engage and create trust.
  • Fluency in mandarin Chinese is a must. Any other Chinese dialects is a merit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for up to 60 days a year.
  • Computer literate and skilful Excel and PowerPoint user.
