YOUR MISSION AT VOI

As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for the accounting of financial transactions and a wide range of financial reportings across multiple markets in Europe. In this role you will collaborate cross-functionally with people across the markets, and the rest of the finance team to ensure that the financial results are reported correctly, timely and compliantly with local regulations. This will include:

• Managing current postings and accounting matters in the UK, Finland, Spain and France
• Reviewing and posting employee expenses, and ensuring appropriate accounting and VAT coding
• Preparing and answering for balance sheet reconciliations, VAT reporting, and participating in the external audit and monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting and processes
• Collaborating with the Financial Planning & Strategy team to manage accruals and prepayments, and prepare monthly P/L analysis
• Reviewing and posting payroll files supplied by the Payroll team
• Collaborating continuously with the rest of the finance team to ensure compliant and accurate financial records, efficient processes and effective controls

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

We are looking for a highly organised, result- and solution oriented accountant, who sees challenges as opportunities to grow and improve the current way-of-working. In addition to being professionally fluent in English, we believe the right person has:

• A university degree in Business administration, Finance or Economics, or equivalent education in business economics or accounting including certification as chartered accountant
• +3 years of experience from independently working with accounting and month-end closing tasks
• Experience from working in an international environment
• Knowledge of IFRS - knowledge of local GAAP in UK, Finland, Spain or France is a merit
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets - experience with Netsuite is a merit
• Fluency in Finnish, Spanish or French is a merit
