Finding our Business Development Manager, who will lead our Business processes and building a team in Germany will be a key part in our journey ahead. We believe that you, most likely are located close to Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Köln, Dortmund or Munich.

About the roleAs a Business Development Manager your role involves leading the development and execution of cutting-edge renewable energy projects in Germany. Your expertise will be pivotal in overseeing critical project elements, such as permitting land acquisition, grid connection, route to market, and stakeholder engagement. Leveraging your extensive German market network, you will identify and capitalise on strategic business opportunities. Your ability to drive projects from inception to successful sale, supported by a track record of project delivery, will be crucial to the role. You will join a dedicated team of professionals and you will play a key role in our growth journey by leading the expansion for BESS projects in Germany. This will involve liaising with external stakeholders such as DNOs, TSOs, landowners, local authorities and utilities as well as to internal stakeholders, working with planning, legal, finance and engineering teams. To thrive in the Business Development Manager role, you will have an in-depth understanding of the German energy market, grid infrastructure, and permitting requirements as well as a well-established network.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Handle the initial interaction to finalisation of contracts and handover to the construction team.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with potential clients, such as TSOs, developers, industry and real estate stakeholders interested in developing /implementing BESS solutions.
  • Developing compelling proposals for tenders liaising with Ingrid Capacitys internal teams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact, working closely with the engineering team, suppliers, and partners to tailor or develop the best BESS projects or solutions for each project.
  • Strengthen relationships with key industry players.
  • Being a key part of establishing a local team.
  • Source and manage partnerships.
  • Assist with M&A activities, including valuation and evaluation of projects and assets.

Your work experience and skills include:

  • Experience in renewable energy and similar projects in infrastructure, renewable energy projects or energy transition.
  • + 5 years working experience.
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
  • Fluent in German and English, both verbal and written.
  • University degree in a relevant field, such as finance, business, engineering, management or similar.
