As a Validation Engineer you will be a part of the validation function within Plasman's R&D department. Your main tasks and responsibilities are planning, coordinating, and documenting validation testing in customer specific development projects as well as coordinating the internal validation lab.

The Validation Engineer work in close cooperation with Plasman cross-functional development teams and is therefore involved and supporting all phases from quotation to production launch. In this role, you will work with different stakeholders such as Project leaders, Lead Engineers, R&D Specialist, Production Technicians and be the main contact to external test lab partners and suppliers.

You will be responsible to organize, update and plan the validation work and have continuous communication with OEM customers and validation engineers.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Create validation test plans.
• Estimate and follow up cost, time, and capacity for internal and external validation testing, including validation fixtures, test materials and transports.
• Continuously communicate with customers, projects and with internal/external labs and testing partners.
• Propose and develop internal verification and validation methods/processes and routines.
• Coordination with our internal test lab with validation testing within our programs.
• Give input and support in the strategic direction for Plasmans R&D activities within your field of expertise.
• Plan, lead and coordinate the work with the realization of validation testing in the lab and support development projects towards certain Plasman OEM customers.

To be succeed in the role as Validation engineer you will need to have.

• Experience from validation within automotive industry.
• Knowledge in international test standards and understand how to meet the requirements.
• Experience from lab/testing activities related to plastic components and/or painted parts.
• A strong technical background, within knowledge and experience in engineering.
• Worked with analyzes, technical specifications and requirements.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree level or higher within Mechanical Engineering, Plastic Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of qualified experience from validation within automotive industry.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Experience in German OEMs is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who has experience from planning, coordinating and/or performing physical validation testing of thermoplastic parts. The position requires some travels, mainly to the production plants, internal and external test facilities, and customers.
