About the position

On behalf of our client, Perido is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The company is a world-leading supplier of transport solutions and is driving the transition to a sustainable transport system. You will be working from the office that is located in Södertälje, with the possibility to work remotely a couple of days a week.

Your daily tasks

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be working within interior design and cab development. You will be a part of the department who is currently working on two major projects that include developing doors. You will be working with one of the following areas:

• plastic injection molding, roll forming and steel pressing
• plastic injection molding and hot compression molding

Your characteristics

To be successful in the role, you should be diplomatic and tactful, able to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics with ease. We believe you’re also technically creative, bringing innovative solutions to challenging problems. Self-motivation is crucial, as you must be capable of working independently and driving projects forward without constant supervision.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Design Engineer with relevant education (Technical education, bachelor or master level)
• Around four years’ experience in a similar role, preferably from the automotive industry
• Working with surfaces in Catia V5
• Experience of working with pressed sheet metal construction
• Experience in surface modeling and styling/design
• Experience of working cross-functionally
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written English

Meritorious

• Being able to communicate in German
• Experience with doors to vehicles
• Experience with Enovia

Contract type and hours

Full-time consulting assignment for 6 months. Start as soon as possible.
