Scania CV AB Scrum Master Scania is transforming from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. At Propulsion Development at Scania R&D, we develop Scania’s next generation of electrified and conventional power trains, providing superior propulsion solutions for a truly sustainable future. As part of our group, you will partake in the development of the hardware from the drawing table to industrialized product making sure that the solution meets the customer targets, and of course our own goals of reduced carbon footprint in alignment with the Paris agreement. About us: Our group – ENTBG Gears, shafts and planetary - works with the design, testing, and validation of torque transfer components in main and planetary gearbox i.e. gears, shafts and bearings. We are also responsible for radial seals, rotor bearings, and the odd screw and retaining ring in the gearbox shafts system. We are today a group of 18 people, in the roles of design and test engineers, scrum masters and product owners, that work together in a customer-centric and exploring approach. When developing our customer solutions, we are spread in different cross-functional teams organized in value creation flows according to the Scania tailored SAFE framework. As a Scrum master for one of these teams, you will facilitate the cross functional flow and team deliveries. We interact across different functions in Industrial Operations and are in frequent collaboration with assembly, machining, suppliers or sourcing department at Scania. Developing for all of Traton, we also work together with MAN and Navistar and develop for our global production in EU, South America and Asia. As a group, we come together around our shared competence area (gears, shafts, bearings) where we integrate collected knowledge from the product flows and build competence, assure quality and long term methods and technical development. Challenges of increasing importance relates to electrified drivetrains affecting system design and materials, compact designs with maintained or improved efficiency and durability, data-driven development, and methods for faster development iterations. We are a mixed group in terms of experience, where some have worked for more than twenty years in the field, and others for one year. Together the group holds a lot of knowledge and expertise and we promote a helpful, inclusive and supportive work environment. Discussions, troubleshooting, and analysis are part of our daily work and we are transparent and humble in our interactions. We are curious and we learn together as we apply ourselves to new challenges. About the role As a scrum master you will - be part of an innovative team developing and verifying our products - facilitate the flow and deliveries of the team - visualize time plans, identify dependencies and remove obstacles in the product delivery flow - organize and manage team recurrent activities such as daily stand up, sprint planning, sprint demos and reviews - lead and coach the team in continuous improvements based on the Traton Thinking model and lean agile way of working. You will follow the development of the hardware from idea to finalized product and will be an important part of the continuous learning in the team. Experience and qualifications The successful candidate should have an engineering or master's degree in mechanical engineering, materials technology, vehicle technology or similar. A high level of initiative and good cooperation skills are necessary. Some experience of leading or coaching teams in similar roles is required as well as experience from one or more roles connected to solution development, such as design engineer.
