Job Description

Main responsibilities and tasks:

  • Identify opportunities for usage of IoT and sensor technologies and solutions in the fleet
  • Assess, calculate, analyze and advise on business cases for new technology adoptions
  • Test, deploy, amend and scale IoT solutions, sensors and sensor systems
  • Continuous improvement, quality assurance, expansion, and utilization of existing IoT platform
  • Define and own data quality requirements
  • Drive and provide support and best practices on fleet standards for instrumentation
  • Provide guidelines and procedures on sensor maintenance, operational procedures and calibration regimes
  • Assist on workstreams in Fleet Connectivity & Automation as required

Qualifications and experience:

  • Preferably Bachelor/Master in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Cybernetics, Electronics, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics or other equal education/experience
  • Strong interest or experience in Internet of Things, big data and digital transformation work in an industrial setting is essential
  • Experience in project work is required. You may have lead your own projects, or worked towards several projects simultaneously and are used to scoping work, relate to deadlines, planning of activities, and know how to prioritize when necessary.
  • Fluent in English – English is our business language so you must be comfortable writing and speaking English to a high professional level

  • Innovative mindset and able to think creatively and find innovative solutions to complex problems. A proactive and forward-thinking approach to technology and system design is required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for identifying issues, assessing business cases, and implementing effective solutions. This includes the ability to address challenges related to connectivity, data security and system integration
  • Success in this role involves collaboration with diverse teams, including other engineers, maritime professionals, and other stakeholders, from all over the world. Effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences is therefore crucial
  • The right candidate should be adept at project planning, execution and documentation

Location: Gothenburg (Stockholm or Oslo can be considered for the right candidate).

Travel: As our business is global some travel should be expected.
