Brand Experience drives brand management principles across the Volvo Group’s brand portfolio and develops, manages, and provides support for the one Volvo brand.  Volvo Brand Heritage is responsible for availability and activation of the Volvo brand heritage. Besides leading and evolving the Volvo Historical Archive and its content we are nurturing a broad collection of vintage vehicles and enginges which requires continuous, dedicated, and systematic love and care.   We are now looking for a new colleague to join the Heritage team, filling the position of Vintage Vehicle Manager.  The role is overall responsible for managing Volvo Group's fleet of vintage vehicles, consisting of mainly heavy vehicles (e.g., trucks, buses etc.) but not limited to. This by systematically taking good care of, activating, and developing the existing fleet by planning for renovation, invest- and divestment and further build the existing fan base and related networks and associations. To a limited extent (maximum 49%), the scope includes technical vehicle maintenance either carried out directly or indirectly through partners and or suppliers.   Since the role operates across a wide network of individuals, departments and interfaces within Volvo Group and World of Volvo, a key success factor is a communicative, service minded, collaborative and result oriented approach. Key target and expected results Manage and secure a living, attractive fleet of vintage vehicles and further develop and build a Volvo Brand engagement using our broad Volvo heritage. Key competencies * Proven project management and organizational skills * Mechanical training of heavy vehicles or equivalent practical experience  * Experience from exhibition and events  * Proactive, creative, flexible, sense for details and problem-solving mind set. * Trusted team player with ability to include others and to make things happen. * Communicative * Experience in working with stakeholders from multi cultures. * Volvo brand knowledge and genuine interest in the broad history of Volvo and in vintage vehicles * B, C, CE driver's license required. D license is meritorious. * Related safety and work environment knowledge * Related license for so-called "hot work" is meritorious. * Swedish and English proficiency, spoken and written. Main activities and responsibilities: Managing the overall fleet of vintage vehicles. This includes: Daily (or as required) maintenance. Planning and execute on a maintenance plan.  Managing storage, booking, logistics of vintage fleet and fully responsible for keeping track of where, when and who activates the vehicles, and that relevant permit exists. Administrating insurance, inspections, and various permit handling. Planning, leading and execute on a restauration plan involving relevant and sufficient internal and external resources and stakeholders.  Outlining a divest-/ investment plan and actively looking for new vintage vehicles to build a fleet that represent Volvo (Group’s) broad history. Create a solid database for the complete fleet of vintage vehicles. This includes image collection, archive material related to model, storytelling material and the vehicle provenance. Be the go-to person and spokesperson for any questions related to our vintage vehicles, internally and externally. Volvo Groups representative towards the joint storage and maintenance site and take active part in agreed daily operation under the Site Manager, employed by World of Volvo. Responsible for Volvo Groups vintage fleet. Responsible for any type of participation in maintenance and renovation work on Volvo Groups vehicles by volunteers, which includes securing relevant work permits, trainings and that insurances are up to date. Be a key player/ point of contact towards and collaborate with: World of Volvo experience team and take active part in the future exhibition developments and or other internal or external events, exhibitions, or sites. Various interest groups e.g., workshops, friends, clubs or schools to gain brand engagement.  Volvo Group BA’s Heritage representatives, Volvo Cars heritage and vehicle technical team.  Able and willing to guide and do presentations for specific interest groups in our broad heritage.
