Support and follow the products over the complete life cycle from idea to the last spare part delivery. The products you will design and support are control computers, displays, radio remote controls and various I/O modules. From these HW building blocks we build our complete control system used in different Epiroc machines. Your team The Technology and Innovation Automation department leads the development and maintenance of Epiroc's Automation Platform. Your mission Our mission is to ensure a stable and up-to-date Automation Platform for both hardware and software. We take care and supports our customers with compatible and reliable products over the complete life cycle.  As an Electronics Designer You are responsible for a product from concept to a mature product. The work tasks are very varying. Your design work will cover tasks from creating Prof of Concept setups, specification and design of electronic products to design or specification of test methods used by our suppliers. Knowledge and experience of MCU designs is important and valued. Typical products are I/O modules, Radio remote controls, decoders etc. based on STM32 or AM26xx controllers. You will collaborate with colleagues from the platform team, Automation department designers, and stakeholders from the divisions using our products. Last but not least, you will be in direct contact with our EMS partners and collaborate to secure quality, availability as well as the best cost of the product together with our sourcing team. Your profile For the role of Electronics Designer, you have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Electronic Engineering or similar relevant knowledge. You have a robust background in development of electronics, specifically for use in harsh environments. We highly value a deep understanding of electronic production processes, where you will have a close collaboration with our suppliers.You have experience of micro controller-based products. STM32 and AM263x/Hercules are controllers used in our products. As a person you are a team player dedicated to support and guide our internal stakeholders. You are innovative to solve specific challenges by new designs or reuse of already proven solutions.
