ABB Metallurgy is seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to deliver exceptional service according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of Electro Magnetic Stirrers (EMS) systems, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and proactive communication with customers and sales teams.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform commissioning of Electro Magnetic Stirrers (EMS) systems to ensure proper in-stallation and functionality
  • Conduct preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance of EMS systems, including fault tracing and troubleshooting
  • Provide technical support to customers, acting as a specialist in EMS systems and resolving technical issues effectively
  • Be prepared to travel at least 50% of the time worldwide to support service activities and projects

Your background

  • Hold a higher vocational education qualification or similar in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in a service engineering role
  • Demonstrate a high understanding of electrical systems, with knowledge of mechanics considered a merit
  • Knowledge in PLC and frequency converters
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrate initiative, especially in independent work settings
  • A can-do attitude with a solution-oriented mindset
  • You are fluent in English, enabling effective communication with colleagues and customers worldwide
